The well designed thumb slide rides on a steel plate with 3 ceramic balls that eliminate wear and tear. A new innovative locking mechanism is placed off center from the blade channel to avoid drag against the blade when operating the action. These features combined in this package remedy the friction that has caused problems with OTF knives since the beginning. This model features black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales with an American Flag engraved on the front and the U.S. Protective Services Badge on the back. It also says " RECON-ELITE STANDARD ISSUE" on the back. Black finished ELMAX stainless steel tanto blade with unique cutouts in the dual fullers. All black tactical finished hardware and pocket clip. The blade is marked with the steel designation and the pocket clip is marked with the Guardian Tactical logo and serial number. Brand new in box.
