The original Lil’ Temperance was designed by Spyderco co founder Sal Glesser as a compact yet heavy duty folding knife suitable for defensive use. Over the years, Sal has refined the design several times, emphasizing its utilitarian function without compromising its hell for stout spirit. The latest evolution of this venerable design transcends previous versions by replacing their traditional G-10 handle scales with injection molded fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN). In addition to its light weight, FRN adds the extreme grip security of a deeply molded Bi Directional Texture pattern. Stainless steel liners nested in the scales form the foundation of the knife’s high strength Compression Lock mechanism and anchor its broad based, four position pocket clip. The stout blade of the Lil’ Temperance 3 is full flat ground from VG-10 stainless steel has a minimal ricasso to maximize its edge length.
