This is an assisted opening OTF. It has a safety and a tab on the side used to retract the blade in addition to the thumb slide. The mechanism takes a little getting used to, but it truly is an awesome and impressive knife. Built with tactical intent in mind, it has a slender profile and a tactical black finish. The AUS-8 stainless steel blade is 3.5" long and forged into a double edge bayonet. Clip has some wear, few light marks on handle. No box.
