Beautiful Knife
First off, I love this line of kitchen cutlery. I own an 8" chef knife and a pairing knife. I recently purchased this 6" knife, and here are my thoughts. I had not held the 6" version and assumed the handle was larger like the 8" chef knife. It is smaller, closer to the size of the pairing knife handle. I wish it was a little larger. The heavier weight definitely helps, and I will get used to it. The biggest issue for me is the DLC coating. The coating makes the blade drag on most veggies with high moisture content, specifically onions. My others cut so well, I was disappointed in the performance with this finish. I would purchase another 6" utility knife without reservation, but not with the DLC coating. It diminishes the one job this knife has.
