Love it
Best small batch manual folder knife made in the US as of 2026. The double detent not only makes it unique but is a genuine advancement in folder design, certainly on par in terms of significance with Reeve lock and Demko's Shark lock. This is the third Talon that I have owned, and each one was perfectly made - better than most full-on "customs" which always have some idiosyncrasies and imperfections. So, the high price reflects both this pristine production quality and the superior design as well as its significance for the discipline of knife making. So, yeah, this is the best knife at this price (and up to about $1.4k). Life is short, buy it if you can afford it - as this is one of the very few select knives that you will not regret your purchase!
