Almost perfect!
Everything about this knife absolutely ROCKS, from the beautiful Fafnir Damasteel pattern (that's also got a FANTASTIC contrast in the etch), to the crazy colors added into the carbon scales. The way they're spaced out from the bolsters, the positioning of the flipper tab... It's just sooooo nice! A couple drawbacks: Firstly, while I feel it's probably just needing a quick stropping, the factory edge is kinda not great. It'll cut, but it's not quite as slicey as I'd hope for, especially given the price point this knife is at. Second, the pocket clip. It looks great and has a decent insert-ramp to it, but getting it out of your pocket requires a bit of force, due to the "hook" shape on the backside of the ramp. It's also VERY low to the scale, meaning if you have anything more than thin khakis on, you're probably not going to be getting clip over your pocket hems any time soon. Other than those two minor issues, I think this Sandbar Sabotage is BEAUTIFUL!!! What a wonderful production knife, at (what I think, anyway) a very reasonable price for a near-custom quality (and certainly grail quality) production knife. AEK was also VERY quick to ship and get it out to me! I had an email confirmation first thing Monday morning saying that it was already on the way. Stellar!
