Spyderco ButtonUp Button Lock Folder Peel Ply Carbon Fiber Handle Satin Blade C275CFP

Designed by Eric Glesser, the ButtonUp is Spyderco’s first ever manual opening button lock folder. It combines a high strength, ultra convenient button lock mechanism with ball bearing pivot washers to yield one of the smoothest and most “fidget-friendly” folder actions we have ever produced. Its modified clip point blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and boasts a full flat grind for superior edge geometry and strength. The blade is housed in a lightweight, easy to clean, open backed handle constructed with smooth carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales reinforced with nested stainless steel microliners around the pivot and lock. To ensure convenient carry and keep the ButtonUp poised for quick access, it includes a reversible hourglass clip that provides a choice of left or right side tip up carry. The clip anchors to a second set of microliners nested in the butt of the handle and straddles a lined lanyard tube that allows the easy attachment of fobs and lanyards. Brand new in box.

    Great work knife..but

Knife is really lightweight. I wqs surprised. There are no liners. Im sure up near the button lock [plunge lock] there is some metal but the scales are pretty much that g10 witb the carbon fiber sticker like stuff which is fine with me. By all means do this for 8cr knives. Knife come sharp out the box. Ive yet to put it to the stone yet but I have all faith in spydercos heat treat, steel selection, edge geometry and ive used the knife it had stayed sharp. Ive carried the knife to work with me for 3 or 4 days in the past week. The reason I give a 4 is while the action is very smooth on the down swing...no blade bouncing back off the stop pin here idc how you flick your wrist to close the blade there is some up and down blade rock. Its very subtle but its there and it is maybe close to a 16th in in play. I havebwen seeing alot of.tbis out of apydwrco lately and frankly it is beginning to.really irritate me. I own 9 or 10 spyderco above 200 dollars in price. Get it together. When i buy a spyderco i expect no fit and finish issues especially bc your blades are not made of titanium they g10 and frn. I used to buy a spyderco and didnt have ti.chexk things like that. Right now I can go to kizer or vosteed get better quality handles and a decent assortment of super steels witj absolutely none of these.kinda of issues. All in alli loved the idea of the 100 dollar price range with a good size knife but the knife fell a little short with what I had hopes for.it.to.be. I wish it was more robust weighed about 4 plus Oz to ket me know hey thos is a good user.
