Spyderco Bodacious Compression Lock OD Green Contoured AWT Aluminum Handles Satin CPM-SPY27 Blade (Consignment)
Designed by Spyderco co founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, the Bodacious is a heavy duty folding knife named after a legendary American bucking bull. Inspired by that animal’s strength and indomitable spirit, its sturdy construction offers unfailing reliability. This expression of the Bodacious elevates its performance even further with a blade crafted from CPM-SPY27 stainless steel. Exclusive to Spyderco, this elite steel contains a proprietary mix of alloys, including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. This advanced formula is amplified by its signature element cobalt and the state of the art Crucible Particle Metallurgy process to yield a blade steel that offers excellent toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention. The leaf shaped, PlainEdge blade of the Bodacious features a full flat grind and a satin finish for low friction cutting performance. It is paired with a handle featuring skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within smooth cobalt blue G-10 scales. In addition to providing impressive structural strength, the liners form the foundation of the knife’s high strength Compression Lock mechanism and provide a secure mounting platform for its broad based pocket clip, which is reversible for left or right side tip up carry.
This model features contoured and textured AWT aluminum od green handle scales. Satin CPM-SPY27 stainless steel blade. Black finished hardware and Lynch northwest deep carry pocket clip. Doesn't not come with original scales. Only real visible wear is a little bit on clip, otherwise great shape, in box.
