This enables you to discover even higher levels of sharpness using our accessories. The standard diamond disc is pre installed on all HORL sharpeners. You can use it to grind knives of any hardness efficiently and give them a high quality sharpness. This is ensured by its extremely durable block diamonds. After using the standard diamond disc, the ceramic honing disc removes any burr and refines the grinding result. Its integrated grooves remove grinding dust from the blade and in this way ensure a smooth edge. The block diamonds on the standard diamond disc achieve up to 80% more steel removal compared to the HORL 2 version. This makes sharpening even faster and results in a more uniform grinding pattern.
The 20° grinding angle ensures a long-lasting sharpness for everyday use on sturdy blades such as European chef's knives. The 20° angle will also give outdoor and pocket knives a robust cutting edge. The 15° grinding angle gives particularly fine blades made from high-quality carbon or Damascus steel a filigree sharpness. High levels of hardness in such steels allow a knife edge to be sharpened very finely. New in box.
